I made my first, from-scratch pie this weekend. My mom got some blueberries and free blackberries Thursday night, so she enlisted me to do something with them. So what better time to finally use one of the many recipes I’ve been saving from Joy the Baker?

So I chose her Blueberry Blackberry Pie along with her recipe for Buttermilk Pie Crust.

However…when I got home Friday to make said pie, someone had used the blackberries up for a cobbler. So I substituted the Bing Cherries we’d also just gotten. And this was the final product:


it all actually turned out delicious! 😀 I can’t wait to try another of Joy’s baking recipes.
